Uhh. I was looking for a new Starcraft account name because I kept forgetting all of my old ones. My previous account names for B.net were so lame. Wow... There was "Pencil Sharpener." That one lasted for a bit. I'm pretty sure there was a "Regular" in there. I always thought it was funny to come up with the most generic words and use them as account names. Finally, when I was listening to Manowar, a thought came across my mind. Why not use Danowar!? So I google searched Danowar but there were other things that used it and I wanted a name that would last FOREVER! So I used my 1337 skills to make it D4nowar.
I think my first AIM name was something like "dan1048247" or something like that. People couldn't figure it out though so I renamed it to a much simpler Dan00000200001. Ah, I guess there is a story about that one. I wanted just Dan, but obviously that would be taken. So then I thought, "Maybe Dan with a lot of 0's after it." That didn't work so I threw a 1 at the end. THAT didn't even work so I got pissed and put a 2 somewhere. Now I have a screenname that no one else has... And no one else wants.

What's with the mammo-grabbing avatars? LOL! Two of them lacks any kind of originality.

Mine?
I just remembered. For one of my character names I use Power Pete. If you can tell me where that is from I'll let that character (a monk) be your slave for 2 missions!

Well, I started online on Battle.net playing D1.. And my imagination sucks, so I used my name and numbers. It was like.. Sir_Jason1234 or something.. Anyways, then I stumbled upon this guy named EverGreen, and he threatened to hack me unless I joined him. Being like.. 12, I figured he could. So I changed my name to EverBlue (Blue being my favourite colour) and the asshat had left. EverBlue stuck, and I use it for everything. Usually people get lazy and shorten it to EB, though.

Ah yes. Good old Power Pete. It was the greatest game of its time, and I still play it to thid day. Playable only on the Mac, which made it that much better.
You win. My monk's name is Power Pete, look for it sometime. I'll be playing all day today.
(You may have your thread back Aniewiel. Sorry for hijacking it and holding it hostage for my own special needs)

Well, my name is just that: Some of the letters of my real name, rearranged in a way that looks cooler.
At first I started with the first two letters of each name, complete with an adjective. The result was "Daco The Nobody" . I stuck with it for a while, until I realized "HELLOO? YOU'RE NOT A NOBODY!"
So I removed "The Nobody" and put the next two letters of my names on "Daco" Result: "Dacovind". This one stayed with me during my Counter-Strike/Day of Defeat/Natural Selection days, thus "A long while" too
But then I grew weary of that one too. So, don't ask me why, I removed the 2nd and 4th letters of my last name to create "Dacvin". I later separated the two part to get the name I've been using for two years now, "Dac Vin".
So there it is, the story of my name. Stay tuned for the long story of me insulting those that I hate

Oh, mine is not very original.
Mariena would be my first name. In RPGs I always make my names up (pure randomness), but in this case it's just the last name that has been made up.
No history, no references .. Just made it all up.

I like the name Mariena, I'm going to change my name to Mariena.
Well...now that I think about it, that might cause a few problems.
Alright, here's what I'll do.
If ever I'm cursed with children, I'll name one of them Mariena. Then I can be like "You're named after a random forum member at a place called GuildWars Guru honey, that's where your name came from," whenever she'd ask me where she got her name.
Pie's real name came from some old TV series "Beauty and the Beast", and apparently 'twas the name of the "beast".
Go figure, I don't question it.

Let's see...
My main character's name (Manadar the Healer) was made out of pure laziness. I switched from Warcraft III to Guild Wars, couldn't think of a name for little monkie, and decided to use the way-overused paladain name from Warcraft, Manadar the Healer (currently, I have a smiting setup )
My second character (Ranger) is named Boris the Assassin. Don't quite know where that came from. Boris is some awesome Russian name, and I suppose when I go trapping in UW that is considered assassination
My third character (necro) is named Soren the Brash. I used (stole) the name Soren from the philosopher Soren Kierkegaard (sp?). Truth of the matter is I don't even like his writings . But being brash I am good at, and there you go.
Wow all the names I make are horrible

My Characters:
Alamos Undomiel - Undomiel being elvish for evenstar, and Alamos was just a nice sounding name I thought.
Arathorn Dunadan - Arathorn being Aragorns father, and Dunadan was just some variation of the word Dunedain. But most people in game just call me Aragorn with this character, funny they just read "Ara..." and thing that has to be Aragorn...
Rei Mononoke - a mixture of 2 of my favourite Anime characters, Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, and San from Princess Mononoke.
Valandil Carnesir - my own real name translated roughly into Sindarin.
As you can see, I am heavily Tolkien-infused, but I think names that sound tolkien-esque always sound good in fantasy worlds.

One day this kid, whom i dislike, started saying my last name over and over, he then started to mess it up, eventually saying muffles. He thought it was funny and called me this. I ended up liking the name so i use it all the time. 12? i have no clue what the number means.
